Honesty hour: I am reallyyyy bad with comparing myself to other women; both with looks and accomplishments/goals. ✨Mixing up my face masks to target the different problem areas of my skin ✨ Skincare is NOT one size fits all. One of my goals for this year is to be better with my skin care including finding a trusted med spa and sticking to regular facials and other treatments for long term benefit. But my quick advice for you is just to START! For men especially!! Buy a cleanser, any gentle cleanser is fine to start and just USE IT. Follow with a facial moisturizer with SPF and bam, you’re on your way to better skin (of course it’s not just that easy but you’d be surprised how much a difference this little first step makes). In fact, it takes consistent work and attention over a long time to truly feel confident and sure of yourself. Below are my favorite tips to help build your self confidence and kick out the self-doubt a little bit at a time. 1. Get dressed up - do your hair, makeup, and put on some real clothes. Even if you’re just staying home, it sparks a happier mood and more self confidence. I like to couple this with some loud music and dancing around my room 😉 2. GET OFF SOCIAL MEDIA - they say comparison is the thief of joy and that could not be more true. When you start to feel that doubt creep in, get off social media ASAP. Go do something else to get your mind and body working. 3. MOVE - you feel better when your body is happy. Even something as simple as a 15 min walk can pull you out of a funk and turn your mood around. (Mood is related to self confidence of course) 4. Be kind - you get back the same energy you put out so kindness really is a cycle that can lift us up. Even if you have to force a smile at the start, it gets easier and eventually you’re bouncing around full of happiness and confidence 🤗 5. Keep good company - surround yourself with people who make you feel good about yourself but also push you to be your best self! This can be daunting at first because, again, we often compare ourselves and our accomplishments to others. But you will only be dragged down by those negative, complaining, validation-seeking friends (sorry for the bluntness here) What else do you guys do to build your self confidence?

?Ways to reduce your plastic usage and waste? ?Reusable water bottle!!! I cannot preach this enough. You’ll drink more water which is good for your body AND less plastic will be going to landfills. Plus these make great holiday gifts ? ?Refuse the straw! Grow up and just drink out of a glass ? Shoutout to all the restaurants and bars who only do straws by request. ?Request no silverware if you’re ordering takeout to your house. (And reuse your plastic takeout containers!!) ?Do everything you can to lessen online shopping!! OR consolidate orders to one shipment/package when the option is available. ?Reusable grocery bags - this is common sense for anyone in the city since these bags are usually stronger than store given ones anyway. I keep some in my car, bottom of my work backpack and in my house so I’m less likely to forget them! Also, fun fact, plastic bags, films, and labels are not recyclable through normal plastic recycling streams because they are not dense enough and get “skimmed off” during the recycling process. Instead, use store drop off programs for these if you must use store bags. This week, I challenge you this to think about other easy ways to refuse and reduce plastic in your day to day! ?

Take a look at the sustainable habits below and think how you can start incorporating them into your life!! 1. Avoid plastic products - this is a given. Sign up for electronic billing - I do this just out of pure convenience but not having all that paper trash (recycling) to deal with is also a plus 😜 3. RECYCLE - if you’re not doing this already, start! I know everyone preaches this but it really is such an easy habit to create and has lasting effects. Buy a bin, find out where you can drop it off in your neighborhood/building and build it into your weekly schedule! Make sure you also brush up on what is recyclable and what isn’t, you’d be surprise how many products/materials are recyclable! 4. Walk!! Do you live in the city? Can you walk to the convenience store/restaurant/friends house instead of hopping in the car? Ok then do it! Plus it’s good for your body 😉

Good morning! and happy Monday loves❤️ Not sure what to cook this week? Give this quick and delicious 1 pot meal a try! ✨30 min Italian sausage tortellini soup with kale✨ What you’ll need: 1 large soup pot 1lb Italian sausage 1 bag (10 oz) tortellini 32 oz chicken stock 1 cup heavy cream 1 can crushed tomatoes Bunch of kale (no stem) Minced onion Minced garlic 1. Add sausage, onion and garlic and brown over medium high heat. 2. Add the chicken stock and crushed tomatoes. Stir until mixed. 3. Bring to a boil for 15 min and add salt to taste. 4. Add kale, tortellini and heavy cream. 5. Simmer ~5 min until the kale is wilted and tortellini is tender. If you double up on the tortellini you’ll end up with a thicker pasta type meal as opposed to soup so feel free to try that as well! (I accidentally did this the first time I made it?)

BOOTY ? focused leg day!? If you’re not already using these two exercises you should be!! (You’ll notice I like to workout to dubstep ?) ✨Video 1: GLUTE KICKBACKS - I use these as an activator before my squats but after my warm up. Really focus on ENGAGING that lower glute right below your butt cheek. ✨Video 2: BANDED SIDE SHUFFLE - I use these as a burn out at the end of my workout to really burn out that lower and side glute. I usually superset these with push downs on the assisted pull up machine in the gym but.. ya know ??‍♀️ Stay low and make sure to not step too far to where you start to use momentum. ??Full workout below ?? ?10 min stationary bike warm up ?Glute kickbacks 3x15 on each side ?barbell squats 2x12 then 2x10 ?plate RDLs 3x15 ?reverse lunges 3x10 each side ?banded shuffle 3x15 each direction If you have any questions about this workout or lifting in general, Hit my DMs?
