Just want to thank all of you for participating in the poll! With Shiklah being our winner, I actually need to order a couple of colors of body paint that I'm super low on, so that will take 2-3 days to arrive, but other than that I'll be good to go! Also, if the character you voted for didn't win, have no fear - I love ALL of these characters, so they'll pop up at one point or another. I'm thinking that since so many of you really wanted Philipa Eilhart to win, maybe I need to make her into a proper cosplay, not just a body paint! I'll do some research and see what I can come up with. I have a good sewing machine, I just have to work on getting a dress form. (It's SUPER hard to create clothes/costumes using just your own body as a template!) Anyway, thank you all for your support and participation! I'll let you know when I'm ready to make Shiklah come to life! 💜💜

They didn't end up fighting the Qwyllion yet, as we actually had a big moment of player frustration which semi-stalled the game for a bit. After the game we sat down for almost 2 hours to talk about it and brainstorm ideas on how to avoid it in the future and I think everyone walked away feeling better. Sometimes there will be miscommunications and player frustrations, but talking about it is key. I play D&D for fun, so if it's becoming not-fun for anyone, then figuring out how to fix that is never a bad thing! I'm looking forward to next week's session and implementing some of the DM advice I asked for, that should help move things in game along more smoothly. 👍👌

So D&D is tomorrow and months ago I put together a treasure hunt for my players. It was a puzzle to solve in order to reveal the map, and now that they have finally solved the puzzle, I think they're going to hunt for the treasure. Little do they know they have something interesting waiting for them at the dig site: A Qwyllion! The thing is a evil aberration with resistances to acid, cold, fire, lightning; bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing from nonmagical weapons. Since my party tends to lean towards acid or fire damage, they're going to find themselves at a bit of a loss! I can't wait!

Throwback to a Tardis Tuesday! Bow ties are cool! ❤️❤️ Who did you find to be the SCARIEST Doctor Who enemy? For me, it's certainly not the Daleks, though the concept of them is scary - they are just too damned adorable. The upgraded (pun intended!) Cybermen were pretty scary, the ones we first saw in that episode where Clara took the kids to the moon... but still, not the scariest, in my opinion. For me, I think it's a tie between The Silence and The Weeping Angels. 😱🥶
