They didn't end up fighting the Qwyllion yet, as we actually had a big moment of player frustration which semi-stalled the game for a bit. After the game we sat down for almost 2 hours to talk about it and brainstorm ideas on how to avoid it in the future and I think everyone walked away feeling better. Sometimes there will be miscommunications and player frustrations, but talking about it is key. I play D&D for fun, so if it's becoming not-fun for anyone, then figuring out how to fix that is never a bad thing! I'm looking forward to next week's session and implementing some of the DM advice I asked for, that should help move things in game along more smoothly. 👍👌
