the last few bass canyons weren't really a good time for me & i thought last year was gonna be my last bass canyon. i made a really last minute decision to go this year & it turned out AMAZINGGGG. i joined the first group that invited me & it was great being around new fun people. i never really liked subtronics that much, but excision b2b subtronics was absolutely legendary. bummed i missed ray volpe again, but once he gets bigger and moves up in the schedule i'll catch him again. omg i don't think i wrote about this, but last time at beyond wonderland i swear i was getting sucked into the screens at ray volpe's set. like it literally felt like i was in a tunnel & the screens were sucking me into the shadow realm. it was kinda fun, but pretty scary too bc i thought if i got stuck too long i was gonna be trapped in the tunnel of doom forever and die, so i started spinning in circles & screaming to free myself from its grips LOL. svdden death sucks & he should give his time slot to someone better. i had to leave boogie t b2b dirt monkey bc they had monkey visuals on the screen & i HATE monkeys. on my way out of that set i couldn't see where i was walking very well, so a dude was like "follow me, i'll make a path for you" & i was like ok and he led the way up the hill & then we parted ways. later, i was COMPLETELY frying on the hill for a minute by myself. it was such an overwhelming sensation, the first time i've felt that way & i can't think of a better word to describe it other than frying. i asked the nearest group if i could sit with them, so there was some stability nearby & they made sure i was ok they were nice. i took too long to get ready & forgot to pack a fan in my bag & i asked a girl if she had one to spare & she pulled out this trippy pikachu fan that perfectly encapsulated how i felt when i was frying. a few grimy dudes definitely snuck a couple booty grabs in while it was shoulder to shoulder packed in the pit. i met this dude that layered a pashmina under his jersey to look like wizard sleeves and he was so stoked to be a wizard & i loved watching him do his little wizardy dance moves. i want to start wearing more costumey outfits so i can act like the vibe of that look just like wizard man. i'm thinking a cute wolf and a pokemon trainer fit. it's also fun seeing people wear similar costumes & being like AYYYYY & dancing with them for a minute. not a lot of people recognized my day 2 hinata cosplay tho. 🥲 last year, a few followers from tiktok recognized me & said hi! so this year i made a few kandi bracelets that say PB♡ to trade away just in case anyone came up to say hi again, but nobody did. 🥲🥲 i kinda wanted to find the love of my life & i actually saw him twice lol, but he didn't see me. i was so tempted to hit him up just to be dramatic & feed off of the emotional bread crumbs, but i'm glad i left him alone cus you know what it was great looking hot & sexy & single. even though i've literally been single for the longest time, i was finally MENTALLY free. during the last 2 sets, btsm & extronics, i was moving through the crowd just absolutely cheesing. the music was sooo good i couldn't help but have the hugest smile on my face, looking around at all the people having fun, dancing with them, fanning them, and spreading my joy. so many people took a look into my piercing fake blue eyes & just HAD to know my name & i said ruby cus that's been my go-to fake name for a while. does ruby fit me? i think i want a new alias as my rave name. yakno like a stripper name but like a rave name. how does aura sound? anyway, yeah it was a crazy good weekend. i think i even saw someone getting a blowjob in the ADA camp ayyyy.
