Woof I have had some awful few months of really bad medical issues and excruciating side effects from trial runs trying so desperately to heal enough to have a semblance of quality of life.

I'm British, I was causing a commotion by literally blocking ppl from getting on the train bcs I couldn't move my suitcase so I was mortified and wanted to crawl in a hole and die...I settled for curling into a ball in the train seat instead and I spent half the ride sobbing but I called a friend to help pull me out (thankfully she understood sob Clara mumbles and went to work distracting me with a silly story immediately).

Been a rough couple weeks of flare after I got a bit too into the Cheryl tip game end of July and then life did its life-ing extra hard again thing lol (that clot scare was fun) but I'm slowly recovering! It made me reflect on how much I still struggle with taking a real break or time off. Even though my body rarely moves, I realised I sorely lack stillness. I'm always trying to get better at prioritizing my health, especially mental, and I know many of you do too. So here's a reminder for us...
A reminder that down time from being burnt out is not the same as active rest and nourishment... We get so caught up in pushing and only stopping when we can't push anymore, and think that pattern is okay bcs our capatalist society encourages us cogs to work as much as possible. Itd be like relying on walking from bed to the kitchen every day as your exercise, yes it's physical activity which is good for you, but you need an adequate amount to be healthy (which for most ppl is a lot more than that few seconds walk).
Same goes for rest. **Rest is radical and productive.** Fried zoned out recouping is not rest, it's non consensual downtime, limbo. Just bcs your body isn't moving or you're not doing "work" doesn't mean you're resting or recharging yourself. And if you can't stop your brain from saying you must do productive things at all times then yell back rest is productive! Taking care of yourself is productive.... Taking time to do something that makes you happy or lights you up is productive.... Tuning off tech for a lil or conversely using tech to catch up with someone... That's productive.
So go forth and be productive my Cosmians ✨

We should never be ashamed of things that help us live a better quality of life with less pain (like mobility aids or braces), and I hope I can do my small part to help ppl feel differently about these types of things!

Happy PRIDE month! Being queer is a huge important part of my identity I am really proud of. I've known since I was tiny that I wasn't straight, I'm incredibly lucky my parents have been supportive of my journey of self discovery, but it has still definitely been a long rocky one (that's probably never quite over hahah but currently I am comfy identifying as bi or queer).
I wish I was able to get out and celebrate more this month because being a member of the LGBTQ2T+ community is really important to me but unfortunately I've been in one of the worst illness flares I've had in a couple years that's made me spend most all of my energy on my health the past couple weeks (if you follow me on twitter I've been emo venting a lil there)... BUT that's why I am extra excited to drop this perfect set in celebration, shake some sexy ghey-ass rainbow light on my dark days and hopefully bring you some smiles (yes to hearts and boners as always) <3

Some of you who have been here for a long time will not be able to forget how I literally turned dollar store plastic flies into spiders by painstakingly rearranging their tiny legs and clipping off wings under a magnifying glass 😂🕷 only to not even be visible in any finished shots lolol
The wig and the costume alone took me over a month to do by hand... the lace front wig I spent like ten days alone learning how to alter hair lines on lace front wigs to get her classic widows peak (spoiler alter its basically hair by hair with tweezers lolll). And even the props took a couple weeks to make (the hand isn't edited at all! It was a cheapo red coloured dollar store hand that I stripped/repainted/stuffed with wire and clay to get looking realistic!), those candles took freaking ages to "soot" up too haha and on top of all that staging the set took two entire days! and even tho I was disabled then my body was could handle a lot more at that time. I wouldn't be even able to do a project of that size in that time now but I still have dreams to keep me on my rehab journey... not remotely a straight line of recovering, more of a jeremy bearmy situation but I'm getting some wins under my belt and improving slowly :)
anyhoo haha safe to say, I'm VERY passionate about my cosplay sets, even if I cant do big builds like this right now I still find ways to be super detailed and fun with them!
