just doing a check-in post. it's day 4 since my emergency surgery now. i'm doing okay. the pain from the bruising started last night and the bruising/swelling itself has gotten so much worse but it's nothing I can't handle. it just hurts to walk around just do regular household things.
what sucks is that i still have a lingering cough from when i got sick at the beginning of this month so it hurts soooo bad every time i cough. i had a follow-up appointment today with my doctor and she said everything looks good so far! it's funny how such a little incision could cause so much discomfort. >.<
have been taking my meds as needed and vitamins to help speed up recovery :)
also wanted to ask, i've never been through surgery before besides my wisdom teeth. are there any tips for the swelling/bruising that helped you in a situation like this? would be super helpful!

Hey guys!
So. I landed myself in the emergency room earlier this week due to personal reasons that I donβt wish to discuss in specific detail. The ER visit resulted in me having to have emergency surgery Monday night. Long story short, I was hemorrhaging inside of my body from something that was rupturing and I had to get it removed.
Iβm on strict orders to remain in bed for recovery, avoid moving around so much, and avoid lifting things. I will have a follow up appointment in two weeks to see how things are going for me.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I have content still queued up for posting to my feed. Iβm okay and very thankful that Iβm alive. Itβs been 48 hours since the surgery and Iβm in such terrible pain even with the pain meds Iβve been prescribed. I promise Iβm taking good care of myself to make sure Iβll be back in the best shape possible.
