Good morning! I'll be going home today because I need to replace my HRT patch. I didn't expect to stay here for long, so i didn't bring much of anything with me. But since this is an inexpensive little getaway, I'll likely come back and stay a couple more nights. It's an extended stay hotel with a kitchenette in the room, so I'm cooking all my food and avoiding restaurants. I accidentally set off the smoke detector yesterday. 😂 It turned off after maybe 5 to 10 seconds. I contacted the front desk and they said they're alarm didn't go off. I'm glad because I did not want to have to pay a fine. 😂 Lesson learned. I'll be cooking over low heat.😉

I drove my son to the airport during the night, and then stopped in and stayed the rest of the night in his extended stay hotel. I'll probably stay the night and watch downtown fireworks from my hotel room window. Hubby is sick at home, so I'll keep my distance in an effort to not catch whatever bug he has. He doesn't like getting me sick, so he won't mind me not being there for the New Year. He'll likely be sleeping anyway.
