Unfortunately the surgery site got infected, so I'm in a pretty tremendous amount of pain at the moment. Taking a bit more time to recover. Doctor says the worst should be over very soon and the pain will subside in the next couple of days. 💙💙 Trying to stay very still and let local friends help me with cooking/cleaning/distracting me while I heal. I've been playing lots of games on my Steamdeck (Balatro, Traveller's Rest) and reading some books (I'm in book 6 of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series currently and just finished Shark Heart this afternoon, which was goofy but lovely and made me cry). When my brain is occupied it's a lot easier not to focus on how my body is feeling. This isn't a surgery that's supposed to come with this much post-op pain but it's not unheard of, apparently??

Thank you for all the sweet well wishes and care packages, I'm focusing on getting better and knowing my bills are taken care of and you guys are fully supportive of me focusing on just getting better just makes it so so so so much easier. Hoping to be better soon because OUCH!! 🤕
