A few first impressions from Moreton Island! Moreton is one of the four biggest Sand Islands islands in the world!!! 😍 Luckily they are all located in Queensland, near Brisbane on the East coast! Super easy to access, we had a one and a half hour ferry ride to the Island! Taking Esmeralda and lowering her tyre pressure right there on the boat, we got ready for an adventure!🏝️ We just got dropped off straight on the beach and just could drive north or south! Luckily we arrived during low tide, so we could drive relaxed along the beach! I of course had the amazing idea to jump on temhe bonnet and pose a little bit on the way to our campsite😁 It got a bit bumpy but I managed to stay on the Bull-bar and survived!!!🥰

The things you might encounter if you just look close enough😁 In every tree could live a dryad and be exited about your visit!💗 I just love exploring so much, I usually end up climbing on every tree, mountain ir into every cave! In this case the tree was hollow, so I had an amazing opportunity to climb inside it. It turned out, this was a parasitic tree, that grew around its host and when the host tree died, where it once grew is now a hole🥰 And who does not love a good hole in the wall… eh… tree!😈

When I arrived in Queensland, I was just so happy to have escaped the cold if the south and was so looking forward to see the green of the forests again! I have been so long in WA that I forgot how beautiful, lush and extremly green the rainforests of Queensland are!🌳🌳 Sadly it just started to rain as soon as we reached the coast, well there is a reason why it is called rainforest!😁 During my stay in the Gold Coast, there were a few moments in which it did not rain! And these moments we used to go to Lamington National park!🥰 Auch a beautiful Place! I did. some very nice hikes, on which I encountered not a soul! I entered the forest deeper and deeper and was feeling like a dryad!😊 Full of joy and happiness in these alive and ancient forrest! One with nature!

I realised I never really showed much of our time in Yowah, when we went fossicking for Opals!💎😍 The Opals in Yowah are found in so called “Yowah Nuts” 😘😈 iron stone concretions underneath a layer of sandstone. So one would have to dig to find it… We started with a bit of noodeling, what is just scavenging for pieces of Ironstone on the surface,. After a bit of fooling around and not finding too much, we found this nice hole, where someone else dogged all the way down to the ironstone!💎 So no we did not dig this hole😁 Down there we actually found a few pieces, but you have to spray the ironstone with water and hold it in the sun to see if you found something🥰💎 In the end I had so much fun, as I love treasure hunting!!! Later I make a video showing you my finds🥰
