Made of human skin!? On no, you gotta get outa here. But you make too much noise, and now she’s noticed you.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a life update:
Today we had to put Talos down. Our family dog of 13 years.
He went to sleep peacefully, and was surrounded by his family, including Yeti, my service dog.
I’ve never experienced a dog dying before. I’ve had a hamster pass away, and have dealt with others losing a dog or cat, but never myself.
The house is already so quiet. It’s extremely hard to grasp that he won’t come back.
Except, he will. Just instead of hobbling through the garage door, it’ll be his ashes in a cedar wood box with his paw print and name on it.
This has been harder than I thought, maybe because it was so sudden. But it’s hard regardless.
I will probably take the week off to process, but I don’t want to take too long because having the work does help in distracting. And lord knows I don’t need to wallow.
Thank you all for your understanding, and make sure you hug your fur babies extra tight for me today.
