2023-10-14 18:29:20 +0000 UTC View PostAs someone who used to be this person… I feel like I can truly speak on behalf of the majority. If you’ve never been to a winery, they’re pretentious - you don’t know how to go to one, you assume it’s going to be hundreds of dollars. For the 90% of wineries out there that is all wrong. Tastings can start at $10 for a flight, you don’t need reservations, no dress code and they usually let you walk around like it’s your own house (with due respect to the winery). For the other 10%, yeah… book a year in advance and bring your highest limit CC. I strongly encourage you to find your nearest local winery and support them by dropping by. It will change a lot of stigma and support local 🤍🍷
2023-10-12 19:32:15 +0000 UTC View PostChurch & State Winery - I did the light tasting. I prefer the blanc de blanc the most of their varietals. It means “white of whites” in French and typically refers to a type of sparkling wine made exclusively from white grape varieties, most commonly Chardonnay. This term is often associated with high-quality, elegant sparkling wines, known for their crisp and refreshing characteristics. Blanc de blancs Champagne, for example, is made entirely from Chardonnay grapes and is known for its citrusy and mineral notes.

2023-09-15 11:54:43 +0000 UTC View PostMidterms are over. My sunburn is NOT. BUT this red blend Machete is healing me from the inside out. Machete is a red wine produced by the Orin Swift Cellars, a winery known for its distinctive labels and unique wine names. Machete is a California wine known for its rich and bold character. It’s a blend of several grape varieties, primarily Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Grenache. And I LOVE anything Orin Swift Cellars has done or touched. Drinking tomorrow SPAIN from his locations collection. See you soon 😛🍷
2023-09-14 01:33:30 +0000 UTC View PostNo one was going to tell me about my hair apparently. But anyways, here I am in my happy place 30A - when I’m actually at lunch at boards. Santa Rosa County in Florida does have wineries and vineyards that produce wines, particularly muscadine wines. Muscadine grapes are well-suited to the warm and humid climate of the region. You might want to explore local wineries and tasting rooms to try some of the wines produced in Santa Rosa County if you’re in the area! OFC the southern staple foods are also some of mt favorites on earth.

Because who the heck makes their own custom “choose your own adventure” book to select wines for their customer base?! JASON PARKES CUSTOMS DOES. Rooted in what is considered the best wine territory in Canada - Kewlona. The terroir is second in place in my book. Kelowna wineries have received numerous awards for their wines, both nationally and internationally. Some have gained recognition for their ice wines, a specialty in the region. You can find vineyards growing classic varieties like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, all in one region. Shout out to my CA homies

But, I did have a box of white wine left over the summer, and I will let you know it wasn’t a Chardonnay - but I had to redeem 3 liters of adulthood with 12 packs of Childhood. Lieu Dit is a small-scale producer, and their wines are often produced in limited quantities. This limited production contributes to the exclusivity and desirability of their wines. 2023-09-10 20:02:01 +0000 UTC View PostHere’s a few household staples in one photo… But Apothic Red stays in my top ten house party rotations. Here’s why: Apothic Red is crafted in a style that emphasizes the ripe fruit flavors and a soft mouthfeel. It’s aged in a combination of oak barrels to impart additional complexity and structure. With their price point you cannot complain.
