I was walking to get in the back of the van to rekey some locks (shopping center parking lot) and found some guys making social media content next to the van. I unintentionally walked into the line of the camera. I just smiled and asked if they were going to "make me famous". We all laughed, I'm already famous 🤷♂️ One guy explained they are part of a marketing team and was creating some promo material. Then he asked if I wanted an energy drink. They explain they are with an energy drink company. I asked if it was sugar free, and it was. When I reached for the orange can, he told me to take them all. These drinks from Ryse Fuel Energy Drinks aren't bad tasting at all. The SunnyD was ok, but good. The Kool-Aid flavor was my favorite, fekkin' good 👍 Ring Pop, well, I don't see myself ever purchasing this flavor.

When rekeying double cylinder deadbolts, I usually add a second user key to the inside cylinder. That would be the ideal key that they leave in the lock or hang next to the door. The reason is if a house guest steals the key thinking they'll come back later as a burglar it will not work the outside locks, although the key for the outside (master key) will also work on the inside. This particular one I installed a thumb turn on the head of the key so it does not look like just a key left in a lock.

Sometimes I really hate office furniture. Cheap Herman Miller cubical farm in a sales office. The horse shoe clip worked loose causing the entire cylinder to rotate resulting in a lockout of both drawers. Finagled it enough to unlock top drawer and removed drawer to gain access to lock and linkage. Bottom drawer wouldn't unlock. I found the problem. Removed lock and reinstalled it correctly. Both drawers lock and unlock perfectly now. It's definitely an odd/bad design the way it's mounted and that clip was a bitch to get fully seated. Service call & hour labor.

I rarely get to impression locks anymore, but today was one of those office furniture days. Most had codes but a few had no code and an odd keyway. They were also stamped or crimped together and not easily disassembled... so, I just took the locks to the van, found a suitable blank and impressed 😁
