Good morning!! A lil storytime rq; Bruh so I bought this fake monstera leaf on my way home from work, for a video shoot prop on something I'm planning right? I picked it up cause I thought it was on sale for 50% off cause of the spring/summer sale signs... I get to the register, and she says it's not actually a part of the sale, because it's the same brand but it's part of a different collection so it's full price... And I'm already at the register, and there's a bunch of old ladies behind me and I'm like too embarassed to put it back so I just took it 😭 ended up paying full price for it I really ain't want to. It was like 15 bucks but it would've been such a steal for 7!!! I wanted this fake one cause I had the real plant a long time ago and it died from root rot, monsteras are really prone to it and it was my first one 😭 that was before the pandemic when they were about 50-60 bucks for a full sized large monstera. So the damn thing dies I did everything I could to save it, and it was working but then it started to catch the disease again despite me sterilizing it and checking it every day. Rip that plant it was my favorite one ever 💔 so eventually I go back after the worst part of the pandemic passes to see if I can get a new one... They're $130 now for the same size. 😨 The woman at the store explained to me that it's harder for nurseries to make and transport them now after the pandemic, so the prices have fuckin skyrocketed. I did a ton of research before I got it but I was inexperienced and it died, now I gotta pay double if I wanna try again. 😭 Yet, not even the fake prop ones wanna be half the price for me either. Pain!!! ((thanks for reading if you did lol)) 🌱💖
