Day 2: Alice in Borderland
It's a Netflix show. If you watched Squid Game and enjoyed it, you'll love this one. I discovered it when it came out and had to binge it because I NEEDED to know what came next! It was twisted and all kinds of fucked up but creative and compelling... I wish more people were watching it so that the pressure would be on for Season 2 because I need it NAO!!
p.s. subs, not dubs! (though I imagine there are dubs available if you have to do it that way, but know you lose the intonation and nuances of the original actor's voices and vocal inflections if you watch dubbed. It's just not the same!)
Day 1: Firefly
Man, this show was SO good!
I understand it wasn't well received at release but gained a cult following after the fact. I didn't watch it until quite a few years after it's release, but it got me so hooked! Great cast, great scripts, amazing production value - and I'm sure an equally amazing budget! (in fact, that might be part of why it wasn't renewed!) For some closure, they made a movie which wrapped up a few loose ends (and broke many hearts!) and I recommend you check it out if you haven't yet.
So that's my choice - what's yours?

👀 Updates for you! 👀
☑️ First of all, as far as my health goes, I'm getting better. Still slowly, but I'm finally able to exercise a bit. Only walking on the treadmill, but it's better than nothing, so yay progress! I'm hoping to start a new playthrough of Ring Fit Adventure (it's an exercise adventure game for the Switch, if you're unfamiliar) so there's something to work towards.
☑️ Secondly, I'm able to tolerate more foods again, so I'm going back on the ketogenic diet - I cannot tell you how happy this makes me! Don't fret, it's not a weight loss diet per say, (though a lot of people use keto to lose weight), it's a way of eating to keep sugar/insulin levels in check, and consequently, moods and headspace in a good place. It's worked really well for me in the past so I'm super happy I can get back to that.
As to the weight loss aspect, I wont lie, being on such a specific, and carb-heavy diet for so long, I have put on a little weight, so I'm looking forward to getting back to my usual slim self very soon.
☑️ Nextly, Since you guys expressed interest in my posting a 30 day challenge here, I've decided to do that! I will start with a 30 day tv show challenge, and I'll be posting my selections daily, at noon. Feel free to add your choices in the comments below those posts each day. I'd love to see what you choose!
☑️ As for getting back to content-generation and camming: yes! I very much want to do this. I'm not quite ready for full-on sexy camming as my body is still in recovery mode, and I'm working toward getting back into shape, however, I think I will do some game streaming and perhaps some crafty or cosplay creation stuff on twitch or even here, starting really soon. I'll keep y'all posted on my first day back to that as soon as I know, but keep an eye out here or on twitter, I'll post there about that too.

Just wanted to give you the big update, and lastly (but not leastly!) thank you all for sticking through this last while with me while I've been dealing with such a crazy health situation. It's been my life line, my affirmation that I am worth it, that you believe in me, and that I will keep moving forward, onward to better and better things. Thank you for joining me on this journey!

No D&D this week, but that's ok. I am starting to exercise a little again. Started a couple of days ago with some *really* slow walking on the treadmill. I feel ok today, but man my feet got so swollen and red from it! 🥵(the non-ironic use of the hot emoji!) I did post a few snaps yesterday for those of you on my snapchat - don't judge me for my choice of footwear, k? 😅 Do you follow an exercise regime? What do you enjoy most? what do you enjoy least?

Speaking of which: who is your favorite 'best friend' in a video game. I will always love dogmeat from Fallout, though in Fallout 4 I used Hancock the most. He never judged me for my abuse of chems lol Living my best Mentats life! 😆

So D&D was really fun last night.
(⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ Heads up: There are some Curse of Strahd spoilers in this post so don't read if you don't want campaign spoilers⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ )
The party got into a fight with the leader of the town they live in. She escaped but they were left with unknowns like will she turn the town on us now? Will she come after us herself, etc... They persuaded the townsguard into investigating her house with them and finding some skeletons in her basement - animated undead skeletons! Chaos ensued!
Fast forward, they leave the town to go on a treasure hunt and end up in a battle between The Mad Mage and Strahd himself! A serious fight on the top of a snow covered mountain! They are getting their asses handed to them, but then their wizard remembers something and figures something else and they restore the sanity to the Mad Mage, who turns out to be none other than Mordenkainen himself!
With that accomplishment they reached level 10, and that was how we left off last last night. Next session they get to talk to and hopefully learn from Mordenkainen in the safety of his Magnificent Mansion. I tied the Wizard's backstory to Mordy, with a couple of degrees of separation, so he's pretty excited to be meeting and spending time with his mentor's mentor! Basically Gandalf the White at this point!
It was a good game! Though I'm feeling it today, I'm so exhausted, even after a full night's rest! 😝 This too will pass!
D&D last night was awesome! I'll tell you all about it when I wake up. (it's actually still late 'last night' as I queue this post for you, but I'm SO wiped out from an extra long-ass session and dealing with pain, so no energy to do that now...BUT it was a great distraction and a good night) Anyway, hope you have a fantastic Friday and I'll give you the update on D&D when I am up a little later! xo

I have D&D today but I'm still in so much pain, I'm not sure it will be a very long game at all, in fact, I'm considering cancelling because I'm hurting so much. I just hate to do that when we have so few game days as it is 🥶
Had a really rough day yesterday and I'm still recovering, but I also have D&D tomorrow to look forward to (and prep for!) so at least I get that distraction! How's your week so far?
