did you know I once ALMOST did a beach photoshoot in a bathing suit version of my Bela Dimitrescu cosplay? Instead of having "blood" running down my chin, my plan was to have a melting red popsicle to go with the beach theme I was excited about it, I got myself all ready and made it to the beach just before dawn so I could get the best lighting and the best chance of no one else being there, and then completely chickened out when there were some men on the beach crabbing lmao the photoshoot never ended up happening because after making my partner at the time come with me to the beach at the crack of dawn only to chicken out like that, I felt too guilty to ask him to do it again but I have these phone selfies!

sick lyfe update: I think I finally made it to the other side!! today's the first day I feel better than the day before instead of worse, so I'm hoping that means that it's only going to get easier from here I'm so excited to get back to life!! first thing I want to do when I'm fully better is go see Barbie, I've been dying to see it and do a new photoshoot for Fansly!! also! the Confessions 2 video I've been working on is getting so close to done, I think I might be able to get that posted here for Fansly early access later tonight *fingers crossed*

dude what is wrong with me, I think I'm actually just a huge hater and shouldn't be allowed to read books because I just wrote that super negative review of Foundation here and I posted a super negative review of another book called Dark Matter on Goodreads, and now I checked both of their Goodreads pages and both of them have mostly positive reviews I'm realizing my lack of enjoyment of these books might be a personal flaw lmao, maybe I'm too negative AM I JUST OBNOXIOUS AND CAN'T ENJOY THINGS?

finished this book today and I'm glad I'm done, it was kind of a slog In Isaac Asimov's imagination of humanity 50,000 years in the future, important women don't exist, but paper newspapers do. I fully recognize this was written in a different time, and I honestly didn't try to read it through a feminist lens, but when you're telling stories that span centuries and you're constantly introducing new generations of characters, after a while it becomes really hard to ignore that every single character is a man. I mean, there are a LOT of characters. I honestly started wondering, genuinely, "Do women exist in this universe?" My question wasn't answered until more than halfway through the book when a tradesman briefly brings a woman out to model some jewelry then leave. Amazing. That actually made it worse, because then I knew women did exist, just none of them were important enough to be in the story. Almost made it through the whole book without a woman ever speaking, but right near the end there is a scene where one character has to listen to his awful nagging wife for a minute. Thank god for that or I would have thought the book was sexist. Anyways, ignoring all of that, the book still wasn't very good, in my opinion. It started off strong; I was interested in the very beginning of the book, where we get to follow in the steps of an immigrant from a rural planet as he first experiences the bustling galactic capital, Trantor, but any promises made by the descriptive and immersive narrative style of the first chapter were not fulfilled. The rest of the book is mostly dialogue with very little description of the world around the characters. Just men trying to out-smart and out-rhetorize each other. After each time skip there is a new cast of characters and each time you will quickly identify the "cool guy" that's going to embarrass and outsmart everyone else because he is just so cool and has so much foresight. Sometimes one of them actually does have a clever or interesting argument, but most of the time it's j

sick lyfe update: woke up so late today omg, I slept so much day 5 of having covid and I keep expecting to wake up feeling better, but I keep waking up feeling worse lmao I miss streaming, I miss eating solid food, I miss having energy, I miss not being in pain pls when will I see the other side gonna go wander to the kitchen to get some chocolate pudding and make myself a hot mug of theraflu (with extra honey)
