Palworld was fun yesterday. Really enjoying it so far. Controls are just nice and intuitive. I did work on my base a bit off stream so I will show that when I start today. Added stream tip rewards so people can name my pals if they like and I get to do multiplayer today 😊 my guild is all setup and good to go. Doing 2 hours for the stream was the right call. I said 1.5 to 2 hours at the minute and I did get more sore and dry in that last half an hour. Wanted to do the full 2 though. Sticking with roughly this time frame for a bit until I no longer get this dry irritation. When I ended I straight away used the antiseptic soothing spray and half an hour later had a soother too. Coughing a bit more this morning but I kind of suspected that would happen. Wanna know what sucks now is I’m still not fully recovered from this and I’ve now just come on my period. So I have to expect even more fatigue, and horrendous Period pain incoming soon. I just can’t catch a break honestly. But I’m trying to stay hopefully that it won’t be that bad this time. But anyways, it’s going to be a real fun time on stream today and being live again is making me happy. Really missed it. I barely got 5 streams in before this illness after Christmas. So here is to staying healthy now 👍

Health update. Pain has gone, ulcers are past that stage now on the back of my throat and are shrinking in size. Not as angry and red back there either. Still coughing, clearing my throat and having a croaky voice though now and then. Horrible amounts of mucus and stuffy nose with some face tightness. Throat is just very dry constantly. Tired, of course. Not sleeping well from coughing. Other than that, the headaches are down to maybe two a day now, pain killers quickly take care of it. Hoping, and praying I can go live this weekend. But defo shorter relaxed commentary streams.

So I had an appointment with my doctor and I explained about the illness before Christmas, the symptoms and the prolonged issues. Then told her about this illness. She did some checks, looking at my throat, chest blood pressure etc. She told me that my chest is congested and blood pressure a bit high. She said from what I’ve told her I had COVID-19 Omicron variant. This variant is know to give Laryngitis. She has said I need to rest my voice as much as possible and she can only really give me something for the discomfort. She prescribed me some spray to use on the back of my throat that soothes. I asked if I should be worried about long covid. She said that if this happens quickly again after it clears up again then I will need to make another appointment. But with covid symptoms are know to resurface a few weeks later in some people, it affects everyone differently. So she said for now we shouldn’t worry and just focus on recovery. So trying not to worry about that. I told her what I do, and she said that she would advise resting my voice but if I must work then I should try to rest my voice as much as possible. She said that even if I feel like it’s cleared I need to still be careful for a few weeks. The only thing I can think of is shorter streams and not talking as much when I feel better enough to go live. So top and tail of it, I have Laryngitis and need to rest my voice. She said she would have signed me off for a week in a normal job but can only advise me to rest as much as I can, gargle with warm salt water and use the spray she prescribed to help ease the pain. If it doesn’t go away within the next 7 days I have to make another appointment.

For anyone wondering how I am … Sunday night was awful after the stream with hot and cold sweats, aches and barely any sleep with upset painful stomach. Yesterday was a day of headaches and coughing. Later that evening I started to lose my voice. Stomach calmed down after I took ages to eat breakfast and forced it down. Appetite was fine the rest of the day and stomach issues subsided. Today I’ve woken up with no headache (for now) but I have lost my voice. But I had a good night sleep with no hot and cold issues. Stomach seems ok today right now. Hopefully this means it’s dropping off. Some kind of viral infection after that illness? Long covid? Who the fuck knows. Either way I hope it clears for this weekends streams. I need my voice back, that’s the most important thing for streaming. The headaches and aches being gone is also Important.
