Do you know who Dr. Ruth is? If you were born before 1980, I bet you heard her name. Do you love learning and understanding sex? Do you love to listen to the truth about sex education and sexual health? She was the first mainstream sex therapist on media, including newspapers, magazines, talk shows, tv shows, books, and more. She just turned 93 on June 4th. To wish her a happy sexy birthday, I recommend watching her brand new Ask Dr. Ruth Documentary on HULU. I loved every minute of it! She is a Holocaust survivor who is America’s most famous sex therapist. She is only 4 foot 7 inches with a thick German accent and is straightforward and bold in her sex education and therapy approach. She is still working hard and speaking her sexy truth. Many people over the years have told me I am the new Dr. Ruth, aka Dr. Resa of today. She has been inspiriting me and many others in this taboo conservative closed-minded world. I have looked up to you, Dr. Ruth, since I was a little girl. You are my idol, and thank you for opening and breaking down many walls about how important it is to learn about sex — plus opening the dialogue about sex to ourselves and others. It is 2021, and it is time to make America sexy again or finally. Please enjoy today and this weekend. Smile, say hi, and start flirting. Be safe, confident, and have fun. June is pride month. I will be blogging on what pride, history, and how important this month is. We are humans, and we all matter. Remember, you are sexy, strong, brave, and worth it. Love you, sexy ones. xoxo, DR @drresa #drresa
