Yay! It’s the weekend! Today I’m going to give you a great cocktail recipe as well as tell you some of my favorite alcoholic beverages. Cheers! So before I moved to Spain I lived in Kentucky and was working at a winery in downtown Louisville while going to law school full time and working as a law clerk part time. This was a relatively small urban winery where there was only me and two other employees in the tasting room. And honestly, most of the time we ran it more like a bar since we also had beer on tap and a bunch of liquor options. Being in Louisville, of course we capitalized on the bourbon fandom and had a bourbon barrel aged wine. One day though we came up with the following cocktail and it was damn good. 1 oz Woodford Bourbon 2 oz dry red wine (we used our bourbon barrel aged wine) .5 oz simple syrup .5 oz lemon juice. Put it all in a shaker with some ice and shake shake shake, just like you like your fat girls to shake it. 😉 Pour into a glass and drink up. So obviously I love bourbon (Woodford Reserve is a great place to start), tequila (I’m a boujie bitch so the more expensive the better), dirty vodka martinis, aperol spritz for the summer, mojitos, and white wine especially when it’s from a Spanish grape called Albariño. What do you like?
