Today I want to immerse you in the wonderful world of Scandinavian legends, filled with magic, mysteries and interesting characters.π Something I fell in love with when I was a student! We're going to talk about the Norn, one of the most mysterious figures in this mythology.
In Scandinavian mythology, the Norns are three powerful women who control the fates of people. Their names are Ura, Verdandi, and Skuld. Ura is the past, Verdandi is the present, and Skuld is the future.π They sit at the roots of the world tree Yggdrasil, weaving the threads of destiny and guarding the balance between the three times.
Once upon a time, in ancient times, a great feast was held at the top of Yggdrasil. Everyone came together to celebrate unity. The Norns, as always, remained in their secluded lair, engaged in their eternal business of weaving destinies.π₯
A guest came to the feast and wanted to see the Norn. He went to the roots of the tree where the Norns lived. Ura raised her head and said: βOdin, have you come to us to change our fate?β To which he replied, βI have come to understand how the passage of time can be changed.β The Norns only smiled, knowing that fate, no matter how you change it, always comes to everyone.
One returns to Olympus, leaving behind a riddle: can fate be changed, or are we all just puppets in the hands of ancient time?π₯°
