I realized how accustomed I've grown to be alone in my studio all the time. Getting out into the world was stimulating and at times overwhelming for my parts who love solitude and silence. Before the trip I was starting to feel a overworked, burned out from so much creating. Now, even with the stresses of traveling, I'm eager to be back playing with paint. The time I spend painting is probably my most peaceful clear moment of each day. Even when I'm practicing yoga I'm not usually that peaceful. The yoga mat is a place of inner battle and growth. The painting canvas is a place of childlike wonder.
