Who am I to speak to you about the human body if I'm not fully inhabiting my own? What is there to say if my head is full of words? In order to show you something of deep value, I must get inside my own body, feel all the sensations and quiet the space inside me. Clear of thoughts, full of feeling, I can speak out loud the words that flow in for you. I don't plan ahead of time what I'll say. I just open my mouth and let what feels good and true be spoken. This time I take to prepare is like sweeping the floor before welcoming students into the room. I cleanse the space so you can walk into something empty and discover something wonderful for yourself. Even if you're not a yoga teacher, you can do this for other people in your life. Before you go to work, before you interact with you family and friends...pause, take a deep breath, clear your mind and look inside your body. What kind of energy are you bringing to people?
