Good morning, everyone! There’s something magical about starting the day with this beautiful piece of history that’s just come into our lives. Tyler and I recently inherited this stunning George P. Bent Crown Orchestral Grand piano, a true work of art from another era. Tyler doesn’t play, but he’s already made it clear he’s looking forward to watching me at the keys, especially in the soft morning light, and maybe just in my underwear by the fireplace.😈 Something about the warmth of the wood and the quiet notes filling the room has him intrigued. And honestly, I can’t think of a better way to ease into the day.

This isn’t just any piano it’s a Crown Orchestral Grand, crafted by George P. Bent in Chicago, a name that once symbolized some of the finest pianos in America. Made with such care and precision, these pianos were renowned for their rich, full sound, and the details show the craftsmanship of a time when everything was built to last. Looking at its polished wood, the elegant design, and the intricate inner workings, you can feel the stories it carries. You can almost imagine all the hands that have played it over the years, each one adding a new chapter to its life.

I only play a little, but there’s a quiet thrill in thinking about sitting down, bare feet on the pedals, hands on the keys, with the sun barely up and Tyler watching from across the room. There’s something intimate about the idea just me, the piano, and the soft glow of the morning, letting the notes drift into the stillness. This piano’s deep, mellow tones seem perfect for those quiet, early moments when everything feels slower, softer, almost like a secret shared between the two of us.
