It makes it easier for getting in and out of the board when beginning. I use boots 🥾 which strap me in. That’s a more advanced foot strap system. Some kite boards also have handles which makes it much easier to carry! When you have boots on the board usually the handle is removed and you use the boot 🥾 to carry the board.
