I’m finally ready to post about something that happened last week: my darling heart cat, the inspiration for the “kitten” in “KittenwithFangs,” the love of my life, Kismet had to be hospitalized due to an intestinal blockage. She’d stopped eating, drinking, and pretty much moving and was just shutting down... Two emergency vets, a life-saving stomach surgery, and *$7,100* later and she’s finally on the road to recovery.
I wasn’t sure how to talk about it since it was so scary and close to home. I couldn’t stop crying for about two days straight, even when I got the news that the surgery went well and she was going to be okay.
I started a fundraising campaign for her medical expenses (the link’s in my bio), which was also scary... it’s hard to ask for help... But I could really use some help right now. I share this with you because I love the intimacy and friendship that this platform allows. If you feel like brightening our day, feel free to drop a “❤️,” send a pic of you with your pet (make sure to give them a big hug from me!), and/or make a donation to our medical expense fund.
