





1940s tulle skirts Usually worn under a dress to create a more dramatic look, tool skirts became popular in the 1940s and 50s. Tulle was originally created in the Victorian era, and became popularized for use in lingerie and wedding dresses. By the 1940s became a wardrobe staple used under dresses to fluff out the skirt. You can see here I have a bunch – in nearly every color. Some have a stretchy material at the top to pull them on, and others have buttons and ribbons, which is indicative of the age of the garment.
