Luring me in with compelling desire
Setting everything around you on fire
Igniting our inner demons instead of taking the time to do the inner work
Selling ourselves short not realizing the cost
The slow dwindling of souls lost
Hands extended, desperate to submit
Wanting change but lacking power to commit
The God in you fighting for the dark to forfeit
How have we all learned to just live with it?
Hurting each other and hurting ourselves
Creating our own personal hells
