A truly awful end to 2021. Out hundreds of dollars, had to cancel a show, and don’t get to hang out with anyone when midnight hits. Long story short, I’ve had a kidney infection the past week. I’ve been on antibiotics and everything has been fine. Then mid-flight I felt a stabbing pain in my stomach and started getting chills and sweating. I was in excruciating pain the rest of the flight and when we finally landed and I went to the ladies room, I realized I was ble*ding. I took some painkillers, started driving to the show, did my makeup while in the car, but the pain would not stop. Finally decided I was no good to anyone in this state, as I could barely stand without the stabbing feeling, and called the promoter to cancel. I feel horrible about cancelling this close to bell time, but the possibility of me going to the Urgent Care here in Massachusetts tonight is very high. Lost my booking fee, $250 on a hotel room because it’s NYE, and another couple hundred to change our flights to a later time tomorrow. Fuck, y’all 🥺😞
