I remember waking up in the early morning from people yelling who collected plastic or metal 🗣 and wheeling their huge carts. Then I would put on my matching pyjama set, some slippers and walk to the nearby market with my mom to grab some freshly made chinese savoury pancakes 大饼. Still to this day it is one of my favourite things to eat 😋. The bustle and hustle combined with the smell of food would definitely wake you up! On the way home we would pass the park where grannies and grandpas would do tai chi or dances with loud traditional music. Of course all in pyjamas. Usually they would have some green tea in big cannisters for the community set up and we would grab some tea to sip on while people watching.
