She spoke several languages, and I used to go to her house to watch foreign films. With her, I watched my first Miyazaki movies as well as Bollywood hits like Om Shanti Om, and artistic projects like The Fall. Sometimes her taste in music was... bizzare. But listening to songs like this, and hanging out with her, and making art with her, I would often find myself thinking about "How Strange it is to be Anything at All."
