When I sleep at night, the whole year-round, I sleep in the ..

When I sleep at night, the whole year-round, I sleep in the cold. This preference grew out of my childhood: when it was a frivolous waste of resources to keep the heat on or wood stove burning overnight. So even in the winter, I'll let the house get down into the 50's Β°F. I sleep like a baby. In the middle of the night (early this morning) I woke up at 04:15am sweating bullets, just soaked. I'd forgotten to turn the oil heater off in my room before I'd gone to bed and my body wasn't having it! When I stumbled up out of bed to turn it off, I was practically still in lucid dream state, barely awake but I was suddenly struck by how bright it was in my room. Like someone was shining a spotlight into my window! It was the moon. The moonlight almost full, was so bright and so clear...it was casting intense beams of blue light through the French doors and onto my duvet comforter. It looked so beautiful. Again, I was more asleep than awake, but I reached for my Panasonic camera and tried to capture the magic of that moment so I could show you. These photos don't do it justice. Not even a little. Still, I like how these three shots turned out. πŸŒ‘πŸŒ˜πŸŒ—πŸŒ–πŸŒ•πŸŒ”πŸŒ“πŸŒ’πŸŒ‘ It was only a few minutes later but by time I shut off camera and crawled back into bed, I was way too awake to successfully fall back asleep. I should have prioritized my rest, because today I was sick with a headache and nauseous all day. I don't do well interrupted little sleep. But the moon-chΔ«ld in me wanted to show you something pretty. YOURE WELCOME.
