Double Life (Part V)đź’
When I ended the stream and quickly packed up to leave, I turned around, and there he was. The noise of people, the music, the chaos around me — I could no longer hear any of it. Just his steps as I quickened my pace. He never tried to get closer, but he stayed far enough to ensure I knew: he was watching.
I couldn’t ignore it anymore. This wasn’t a coincidence. It wasn’t paranoia. I had become someone’s target.
That night, I couldn’t sleep. His face played in my mind every time I closed my eyes. Conflicting thoughts tore at me: should I tell someone, or keep it to myself? How would it look? Who would believe me? After all, he was just a man who happened to be in the same place as me, right?
But no. You can’t escape the truth. He was there. He was following me. And I had no idea how far he was willing to go.
