Started the day with a hike at Runyon Canyon (at which I came perilously close to dying of a heart attack) for some seriously scenic views - in some photos you can even see the wildfires - eventually the smoke got bad enough we could smell it from our airbnb whenever we opened the window! Here was my first glimpse of the hollywood sign, and got a stunning show from a trio of red-tailed hawks which I was VERY excited to see! I was super proud of myself for making it to the peak that I did despite my legs feeling like they were going to burn off.
