I hiked the Narrows at Zion national park for 8 hours today! The rock formations were breathtaking, the water was frigid, and the experience was stellar! At the fork, we chose the path on the right. Towards the end of the Narrows I thought I was invincible and decided to climb a slippery log to get above a waterfall and I slipped about 8 feet up. By some miracle, I managed to ball myself up and land perfectly between the rock wall and the log into the water. After that, all I remember is being ripped out of the water and everyone checking me for injuries. They thought I had knocked myself up but as was still conscious 😅 My teeth were chattering nonstop for 15 minutes and everyone thought I was hypothermic. Thankfully, I am okay other than a bruised shin. I know it doesn’t look like much in the picture but there’s an enormous bump and it hurts when I touch it 😭 Overall, I recommend the Narrows to anyone that likes adventure and an incredible hike! 10/10 would do again! …in 5 years… after I recover 😂❤️
