Added 2021-11-16 20:03:56 +0000 UTCDay 16: Rick & Morty - Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim's Morty (aka the one where Morty gets a dragon) So I LOVE Rick & Morty. I think the show is damned brilliant, and layered with all kinds of really smart humor and fun references. I really love how the 'red herrings' turn out to not be that at all, but important story pieces later on in the show. This episode is no different, and while I enjoyed and appreciated the episode, there was *one* part where the writers lowered themselves to the level of that family guy joke that's carried on wayyyyyyy too long to be funny anymore. The part where the wizard whips the dragon while repeatedly calling it a slut felt out of line for the type of humor Rick & Morty otherwise present. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing wrong with the dragon being a slut or being called a slut. It isn't a trigger for me or anything, and I don't see anything wrong with it. The part that bothered me was that it went on too long to be funny, for me at least. So the episode brings the usual twisted and fucked up humor I expect and love from R&M but that one part that was out of place is what landed this episode as my least favorite. But that is not saying it was a disliked episode!
