So I didn't clean the whole garage, and I didn't clean the floor (I honestly just put some cardboard boxes down to stand on 😅) but I cleaned off my work station, grabbed my respirator, opened the window and got to work. It was hard to hand laminate them with the heat gun, and finding the right distance to start the laminating process without melting the vinyl (the wrong kind of melting!) was challenging, but all in all I think it turned out ok. Then, once the wires were sealed in place well enough I took it inside to iron it and complete the laminating process. Honestly, after ironing it, the film ended up with all sorts of little wrinkles and deviations, which concerned me at first, but looking at it, I think it looks SO MUCH like real wings texture, I love it! Now to take it back to the garage work station to melt the excess off with my heat tool, which will seal the plastic together perfectly! I haven't done that part yet because I was too excited to show you the progress so far!! 🤩 EDIT: Sorry I didn't resize or reorient the photos, I just wanted to get them up for you to see! Also disregard the ugly orange bandage on my hand... I have a boo-boo from something else, but my skin doesn't like bandaid adhesive so I use this wrap stuff that sticks to itself but not your skin. It's good stuff!
