I'm ready to go out. I get a text on my cell phone. My friends tell me they've arrived and are waiting for me in the car. They came to pick me up. While I was waiting, I was about to smoke a nice cigarette in the silence and total darkness. My friends write that we're late. But how could I put the cigarette back in the pack, take my bag and keys, close the door, take the elevator and hold back the desire until the door, down in the courtyard? Simple: I can't! Because when you're ready with a cigarette in your mouth and a lighter in your hand, nothing and no one can interrupt the lighting process. I want to enjoy the caresses of this Marlboro and stare at the light of the burning ember that I have between my lips. I enjoy it all. I want to smoke the filter too!

Ma come potrei rimettere la sigaretta nel pacchetto, prendere la borsa e le chiavi, chiudere la porta, prendere l'ascensore e trattenere la voglia fino al portone, giù nel cortile? Semplice: non posso! Perché quando si è pronti con una sigaretta in bocca e l'accendino in mano, nulla e nessuno può interrompere il processo dell'accensione. Voglio godermi le carezze di questa Marlboro e fissare la luce della brace accesa che ho fra le labbra. Me la godo tutta. Voglio fumarmi anche il filtro!
