***Recap of my gaming night*** *Sorry for the delay, OF had..

The game got super popular in 82 but was actually released in 80 by Atari. It kept reminding me each time I would die, haha! Back to the essential. God...I am NOT good at it. Someone had put up the three highest scores on my machine last weekend, and I wanted to get that top spot, but...no luck! lol It was fun...lots of random events happening, so it's a hard game to predict. My trackball could have responded better. Although, I think it's the design of the game and not my trackball (it's an Ultimarc and those are the best!). I mean... I am on a 48 inches screen and in 2022! Maybe I am expecting too much precision lol! Sometimes I wanted to be in front of a (is it called a mushroom? lol) and I just couldn't be totally in front and shoot it. I clearly lacked some timing as well! As for the new version? I'm a sucker for the old classics but GOD this 4K Recharged version released in 2021 was AMAZING. You only have 1 life in Arcade mode, so you better be careful. No mistakes are allowed. But am I the only one to think that it looked SO good? I had the chance to play with the trackball. It's meant to be played with the mouse, keyboard or an Xbox controller...but I had it programmed to play with a button from the arcade and the trackball. It was REALLLLLLLY smooth. And it proved to me that the issue wasn't my trackball earlier...it's just the way it was in the 80s! Lots of cool features were added to the different shots you get from killing a spider! LOVED THIS! If I had to pick...I'm often going with the original versions...but this time I have to go with the Centipede recharged. It was a blast! No clue who that fucking Goldberg is though LOL! At the end, I couldn't enter my name for a high score, just that damn Goldberg would show up haha! I googled, and there's a Marty Goldberg that often comes up in interviews with this Centipede Recharged, but I can't figure out who the hell he is! (you can let me know in the comments if you know who he is!) Basically, I recommend the PC version of Centipede. If you loved it back in the days in the arcades, you'd love that one even more now! Oh and as you'll see...I tried to go back to the original Centipede after playing the Recharged. I got closer to the high score...but in the end, I had to call it a night! Fun night overall. But next week, no more trackballs, haha! I was thinking...maybe we should do a light gun game! What do you think? Stay tuned...voting will begin tomorrow!!! ps: As you'll see, in the Recharged version, there are a few challenges. Tried a few of them. Looked okay...but didn't feel like playing more of it. Maybe at another time it will be worth more exploring!
