Popeye first appeared in the daily King Features comic strip Thimble Theatre on January 17, 1929. That asshole is soon to be 100 years old! LOL Yes, he was an asshole. Have you read some of the stuff he said in the 50s and 60s? Kept bashing women on their look! (and he thought Olive was hot....so who is he to judge anyone LOL!) Anyways...thought we'd start Sunday comics with some good old Popeye :D
