I kept thinking I had to try it. I remember playing Triple Play on N64 (Sammy Sosa was on the box art - most likely the last baseball game I played LOL)....and I do love the soccer, tennis and golf games in the Mario series. I tried it for the first time yesterday, and...what the heck was that? No wonder they kept doing Tennis, Golf...but not baseball! I absolutely had ZERO fun and had to push myself to keep playing to give it an extra chance to impress me. After an hour, I just gave up. Strangely, I ended up reading reviews from back in the days, and the reviews were quite good and the series had several die hard fans. Then, if it was that good, why wasn't there subsequent versions after the Wii one from 2008? Maybe the Wii version was even worst? You'd think that it's a game that could be played with joy con on the Switch like Mario Tennis... Rumours say that that Nintendo is currently working on a new sports game involving Mario for the Switch. Strikers, Tennis and Golf are all out...can't be a sequel to those on the same console. Could it be a revival for the baseball series? If it is, I'll gladly skip it...it's not my cup of tea! But I do hope it is a good game for all the baseball fans out there :) Have a great weekend!
