Many years ago at my last runway show I had a group of guys approach me one one of the gentlemen smashed from alcohol. This group began to chat with me and I so with them. It wasn't until the intoxicated friend of the group asked me multiple times if I would join them back at their place that night. After me repeatedly saying "No thank you" and "I am flattered but am sorry to say I am straight." I had to walk away cutting them off because of the intoxicated friend. I am not a piece of meat nor is anyone else. I had a blast chatting with them until the intoxicated friend opened his mouth. It is one thing to make comment but when it's not received positively and is vocalized to further push the comment is disreoncftul. I would have continued to talk to the group if it wasn't for the intoxicated friend. Thank you reading my Truth Talk. The moral of this story is to give everyone a chance and to not judge. book by its cover. Treat others with respect and how you would like to be treated. Being impaired is no excuse for poor behavior. I just thought I would share that memory while it was fresh in my mind.
