Happy Sunday! I wanted to share some fascinating facts about our dogs tilting their heads when we talk to them! Enjoy!!
>One theory I read, suggests that dogs may tilt b/c similar to the way people process language, in listening to people speak to them, dogs may process words and tones in different sides of the brain.
>>Depending on whether the word or tone is more clear or more important may compel head tilting in one direction or the other.
>>> In a recent study that was done, it was found that dogs tilted their heads most when responding to direct communication from their people!
>>>> Dogs tilt to the right more often — which again signals similarity between left-hemisphere lateralization of language processing in people!
And since dogs have evolved alongside people, their brains have also developed in some similar ways.
