This Months Favs 1. Good Night Pun Pun (Inio Asano) 2. DANDADAN (Yukinobu Tatsu) 3. Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service (Eiji Ōtsuka) 4. Dirty Pair (Haruka Takachiho) Goodnight PunPun will stay with me for a while. PunPun starts off as a ch1ld in kindergarten making friends, developing crushes, and understanding his desires in the world. Throughout the series, we see him and his loved ones grow up. Each displaying their flaws as people and how it’s shaped their relationships with each other. While not every character has life filled with excitement, their lives, experiences, happiness, and trauma feel so real. (Won’t spoil any of these series btw). Something I thought was cool was that the main character and his family are drawn as a little bird or sometimes other shapes. It helps you see yourself with in him or understand that we are all capable of the life he lives. DANDADAN AMAZING!!! Nerdy kid who believes in aliens runs into mean hottie who believes in ghosts. From there they bet each other they can prove the existence of each others believes and LITERALLY GET ABDUCT3D AND POSSESSED. The boy develops powers from the possession and the girl has cool psychic abilities and together they go on adventures. The characters are cute and lovable. You really enjoy watching them go. The art is also fucking insane. Kurosagi is a series about few college students that use their unique physic abilities to help the dead complete their unfinished business and move on (for a price). The team has a Dowser, Psychic, Embalmer, and a Hacker. They’re each cute and funny in their own way and their adventures are truly gritty and spooky. Some of the concepts such as resurecting a corpse so it can finish its OWN business is so creepy but cool! Dirty Pair is a funny 80’s sci fi series about 2 19 year old galactic federation peace keepers. They call themselves the Lovley Angels, but often get called the Dirty Pair because they typically cause ore destruction than they keep. The series is really funny in that the girls dgaf about anything and are super OP for no reason. Someones begging for their life? They kill them w no mercy and laugh about when they fly away accidentally destroying entire planets. Its really self aware in that the girls are dumb but get called out for it alot.
