VERY late bloomer closeted gay Christian skinny boyish and very little self esteem. Theatre and music and art gave me a home and place to belong. As I got older I grew into my skin and the year I turned 40 a famous photographer saw me in a broadway play and asked if he could do a photo shoot with me. He was famous for nudes. It was so far outside my comfort zone but I was about to turn forty I was finally comfortable in my skin and all my reasons for saying no to him were based in fear. So I decided to do it. It was a really cathartic and fun experience. I’ve shot with a lot of photographers since then. I have no issue with nudity. I’ve done it onstage in plays and in film. So this is just a retrospective. Because of my work and the prejudices of the industry and the stigma of Onlyfans I can’t do full frontal as you all know and don’t anyway because I don’t always think it’s the most interesting shot. We’re so obsessed with male genitals in our country and consider them still taboo that they dominate the focus of photography when they are there. I hope we can learn from Europe and move on but for now this is where we are in America. So anyway. Enjoy :)
